Description

Extensive analysis of developments in new information and communication technologies (ICT) in society. Most of the areas where ICTs are applied and affected, such as education, health, transport, the environment, governance, social networking, etc., are being explored. Digital skills, the digital divide, the Millennium Development Goals, etc, are also some of the issues studied. Particular emphasis is placed on proposals for the use of ICTs as a lever for the development of countries. We present the developments in each area, with reference to the latest research and development results, through specific examples and applications per sector, giving a glimpse into the everyday life and the life in the future society. In the second part of the course, the students develop skills in the methodology and search of bibliographic sources, the elaboration of scientific papers, and techniques for the development of communication and expression skills (written language, body language techniques, etc.).
